There Is Always Room For Improvement

They say if you aren’t moving forward, you aren’t just standing still.  In relationship to others who are moving forward, you are not staying the same, you are moving backwards. Why is it that every-so-often you want to buy a new car? Improvements? Don’t become an old car add your own improvements. Continuing education will help bring about a new you.

“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
Or perhaps a quote from someone a bit more contemporary. “I have a great respect for incremental improvement, and I've done that sort of thing in my life, but I've always been attracted to the more revolutionary changes. I don't know why. Because they're harder. They're much more stressful emotionally. And you usually go through a period where everybody tells you that you've completely failed.” ~ Steve Jobs

What are you doing to prepare to improve your future? While some folks feel there will always be a next time, others feel that opportunity may only knock once. Will you be ready? Or are your really ready now?

Education and improvement will be your keys to success. Regardless of your career level, there is always room for improvement. Often the focus tends to be on obstacles rather than strategies. There are numerous things you can do to improve yourself starting with setting goals and developing a plan of action that includes education and professional development.

Do you feel your job is trying to make the world a better place and does it seem impossible? Do you feel it appears that you have no power, and any small private beneficial action that you can take seems so puny in contrast to this generalized idea that you dismiss them sardonically, and so you do not try to use your power constructively?  Do you begin with your own life, with your own job, or with your own associates?  What difference can it make to the world if you are a better planner, salesperson, plumber, office worker, or car salesman?  What can one person do?    Yet that is precisely where first of all you must begin to exert yourself.  There, on your jobs and in your associations, are the places where you intersect with the world. Begin to build a better you.
