I think it may be fair to say that if you know what PMP stands for, Project Management Professional Certification, then you are already certified or you just may need to be certified to further your career.

Other requirements include a bachelor's degree, at least 4,500 hours of experience leading and directing projects, and 35 hours of formal project management education. A candidate who passes the exam and meets the other professional requirements is awarded the PMP certification.
